The trumpeter Herbert Walser-Breuß is a graduate of the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium and the university for Music „Mozarteum“ Salzburg.
Since 1991 he regularly performs with Nikolaus Harnoncourt’s “Concentus Musicus”, “Il Giardino Armonico Milano” and he is a founding member of the Vorarlberg baroque orchestra “Concerto Stella Matutina”.
In the field of jazz he performs i.a. with the “Dirty Horns”, the “Jazzorchester Vorarlberg”, the “KDR-Society”, the formation “Heartbeat” with the Norwegian percussionist Helge Norbakken, with the “Erben” with Florian Bramböck and in several other formations of the “Collective of Improvising Artists” with pianist Peter Madsen.
Together with the aforementioned formations he produced more than 90recordings.
Herbert Walser-Breuß is professor for trumpet and improvised music at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium; he lives in Feldkirch with his wife and their three children.
