Die in Tirol geborene Cembalistin Anne Marie Dragosits lebt in Wien.
Sie studierte bei Wolfgang Glüxam in Wien und bei Ton Koopman und Tini Mathot in Den Haag.
Sie ist Professorin für Cembalo an der Anton Bruckner-Universität in Linz und unterrichtet Generalbass an der Haute école de musique in Genf.
Als gefragte Solistin und leidenschaftliche Continuospielerin reist sie mit Ensembles wie barucco, Barocksolisten München, musica alchemica, l’Arcadia, l’Orfeo Barockorchester, vivante, oder der neugegründeten Accademia degli Stravaganti durch die Welt.
Ihre besondere Passion gilt der Auseinandersetzung mit historischen Cembali, die auch zahlreiche, teils preisgekrönte Aufnahmen dokumentieren: wie etwa ihre aktuelle CD “Ich schlief, da träumte mir” mit deutschem Hochbarock, aufgenommen auf dem Cembalo von Christian Zell (1728) im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
Im Oktober 2020 wurde ihre Biographie des Frühbarock-Komponisten Giovanni Girolamo Kapsperger bei der Libreria Musicale Italiana, LIM (Lucca), veröffentlicht. Im Herbst/Winter 2024 wird eine englische und nach zahlreichen neuen Archivfunden großflächig aktualisierte Version des Buches erscheinen.
The Tyrolean-born harpsichordist Anne Marie Dragosits lives in Vienna.
She studied with Wolfgang Glüxam in Vienna and with Ton Koopman and Tini Mathot in The Hague.
She is professor of harpsichord at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz and teaches basso continuo at the Haute école de musique in Geneva.
As a sought-after soloist and passionate continuo player, she has travelled the world with ensembles such as barucco, Barocksolisten München, musica alchemica, l'Arcadia, l'Orfeo Barockorchester, vivante and the newly founded Accademia degli Stravaganti.
She is particularly passionate about historical harpsichords, as documented by numerous recordings, some of them award-winning: such as her current CD "Ich schlief, da träumte mir" with German High Baroque, recorded on the harpsichord by Christian Zell (1728) at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
In October 2020, her biography of the early Baroque composer Giovanni Girolamo Kapsperger was published by Libreria Musicale Italiana, LIM (Lucca). An English version of the book will be published in autumn/winter 2024, extensively updated following numerous new archive finds.
